New Juniors website coming soon! Hillhead Junior H.C. has been based at Windyedge, Glasgow Academy’s astro turf facility, for the last three years. Windyedge is a superb facility offering a full size hockey pitch as well as a half pitch. This allows the section to divide the kids both by ability and age with the younger kids aged 5 -12 years training in a safer and more controlled environment. The converse of this is allowing the older kids to express themselves and play at a more intense and high octane level. There are also opportunities for parents to spectate with fencing around the perimeter of both pitches.
Other facilities offered at Windyedge include male/female toilets and changing rooms as well as an adapted toilet with disabled access. There is also vending machines which offer a selection of soft drinks and confectionary. Despite this it is recommended that children bring their own refreshments as machines are not always fully stocked.
