Boys Futures welcome Isle of Man visitors!
Hillhead youth sides hosted the Isle of Man youth teams on Friday evening at Top Windyedge.
First up our under 16 side enjoyed a competitive match against the island equivalent. Hillhead were just too strong on the night as they strolled to a 5-0 win. An inspired performance by the Manx goalkeeper kept the score line respectable. A super match played in the right manner.
Next our under 18s faced off against the islanders. This match followed the reverse pattern of the 16s match with the Manx team dominant and cruising to a 6-1 win. If it were not for the heroics of GK Forbes it would have been a heavier defeat. That is not too say Hillhead were without their chances. They simply came up against an older, more experienced side. Some cracking individual performances amongst a largely unfamiliar squad.
