Summer Hockey
Summer hockey is a massive part of the social scene at Hillhead, and we currently have four active teams closely affiliated with the club (and one dormant!). These teams compete against numerous other summer sides from May - August in 11 a side matches and at various summer tournaments.
Hillhead Hockey Club host a summer tournament every year which is always a fantastic event.
All our teams have fantastic social and sporting calendars - it’s a great way to meet new and existing members and form long lasting bonds at Hillhead.
Flashers
Captained by the fantastic Euan Ross, Flashers have been a mainstay of the summer hockey scene for many years playing both 11 a side matches and summer tournaments.
Roadrunners
Captained by Kareema Hilton, the Roadrunners are easily identifiable in their trademark purple tops. Roadrunners take part in 11 a side matches and the summer festivals.
Hornets
The Hornets, run by Andy Macey. They started in summer 2023 and run a full calendar of games each summer!
Bravehearts (Dormant)
Featuring a number of top quality players in years gone by, the Bravehearts are currently looking for someone to take on the mantle of running the team next summer. Get in touch if you are keen to take it on!
